My College Scoring System + College Pages
Colleges I Will Be Applying To
Here is where you can just list out all of the colleges you will be applying to:
How the Scoring Works
Make a chart with all the colleges and criteria. Then you will rank them in each category and at up the points in order to see which school has the most. Some categories will have their own special answers. Which will be elaborated more in their descriptions. Others will have 1-5 stars. 1 being the worst and 5 being the best. You will also have a pro and con list on this page that you can use. Feel free to personalize and change the criteria for your needs.
Scoring Criteria
Here is a system that I created to help with my college decisions. There are a total of 15 that I based my decision off of but you are free to add more. Just make sure to add it in the table below.
- Accepted - Were you accepted into the school?
- Does the school accept all my dual enrollment credits?
- Safety - The campus is safe with little crime happening, the campus is not easily accessible to people who donβt belong their, and the campus have safety measures in order to keep students safe.
- Academics - The college has a ________ program and that is good. They have good research opportunities and they have good academic resources especially for ____________ students.
- Dorms - Dorms are nice, have space, and private bathroom. Donβt necessarily need a kitchen or living space but it is preferred if that is a option that I have.
- Food - There is a variety of food that you can get on campus that is good.
- Professors & Staff - Good professors and staff that are willing to help you at all times.
- Opportunities - The college has opportunities such as research, choir, internships, networking opportunities, and other opportunities that are of my interest.
- Athletics - The school has good sports teams that I can watch and have fun at.
- Diversity - What races make up the campus.
- Population Size - The campus has a decent amount of people like around 10,000 people at most, areas donβt get too crowded, and family atmosphere.
- Campus - The campus is beautiful with lots of nature, medium-sized campus, everything is close by to each other,
- Location - The campus is in a nice location that is by major cities and offer things to do outside of college things.
- Student Life/Campus Life - There are lots of things to do on campus such as clubs/orgs, recreational stuff, and other activities that I can take advantage of. There is school spirit and a lot fun things to do at the college. Such as homecoming, games, and parties
- Price/Financial Aid - The college is affordable and gives me a lot of money in financial aid.

Degree Planning - (Your Major)
Here is where you can plan your degree earlier. This can also help you choose between multiple majors. These are estimated college degree plans based on your (insert graduate program if you are planning to apply to one; ex. premed, pre-vet, and more) requirements, major requirements, and the university core curriculum requirements. I still recommend to talk to your college advisor to still make sure you ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACK. You can also adjust this if you need to. Here are the degree plans that I made:
